Plans have been submitted for a new eight court padel centre in Nottingham, marking a significant boost for the city’s growing padel community. The proposal, put forward by Meadow Lane Services, would redevelop the former Canal Engineering site on Lenton Lane. The building has been empty since the company went into administration in 2023 which resulted in around 80 job losses.
The plans outline a modern padel facility featuring eight courts along with a pilates and yoga studio and an on site café. The aim is to create a venue that appeals not only to padel players but also to anyone looking for an accessible fitness and social space.
If approved, the new centre would bring new life to a vacant part of Nottingham and help meet the increasing demand for padel in the region.
